The final team reinforcement before the new season.

We are pleased to announce that the senior team, which will compete in the ICE league, is complete. The final reinforcement is the 29-year-old American defenseman Wyatt Ege. Last season, Ege played for Pustertal, a semifinalist in the ICE league. Before that, Ege played in the American NCAA college league (Ohio), the Slovak Extraliga (Nitra), and Cincinnati (ECHL).

Anže Ulčar, director of HK Olimpija: “Wyatt Ege is a very good skater and dynamic defenseman who excels in transition. This is exactly what we were looking for, and Wyatt represents the final piece in the puzzle of our team. We received a lot of positive feedback about his character and personality from his former teammates and coaches. Not to mention, he was teammates with our captain Žiga Pavlin for one season, and they worked very well together. For all these reasons, we were happy to agree to this partnership. We are especially excited that, in our conversations, he clearly and decisively expressed that Olimpija is the club he wants to join. We are very much looking forward to working with Wyatt.”
