Lukaš Horak will play in Ljubljana for two more seasons!
Hockey club Olimpija Ljubljana has extended its partnership with Czech goaltender Lukaš Horak for the next two seasons. Horak, who has become an essential part of the team, will be playing in the “Dragons” jersey in the 2025/26 and 2026/27 seasons.
Lukaš Horak joined HK Olimpija Ljubljana before last season, and his saves have made him a favorite among Ljubljana fans. From game to game, he continues to prove that he is one of the best goaltenders in the ICE league.
“I am very happy to stay with Olimpija. The team is getting stronger every year, the ambitions are growing, and the fans are incredible. Ljubljana is a wonderful city where I feel great. These are the reasons why the decision to extend my contract was an easy one,” said Lukaš Horak upon signing the contract.
Anže Ulčar, director of HK Olimpija Ljubljana: “Lukaš is a cornerstone of our team, which is growing stronger. We quickly reached an agreement, as Lukaš was also very interested in staying. This means a lot to us. Besides being an excellent goaltender, he is also deeply committed to the club and our shared goals. His passion is what makes him even better, and we are very happy that he’s staying with us.”
